You can test your testosterone levels easily from the comfort of your own home with an at-home test kit. Learn how to get one here.
Low testosterone can manifest itself in many ways. You may feel like you are “in a slump”, have lowered energy, or even experience less libido. Mood and concentration issues can also occur due to low testosterone including trouble concentrating, feeling down, or lacking drive.
However, it is important to get clarification on your hormone levels before jumping to any conclusions or supplementing with testosterone or testosterone-boosting supplements on a whim.
You can gain some insight into what is happening with your hormones using fast and easy at-home test kits from Strut.
Below, we will cover the basics of at-home testosterone test kits including how to buy them, how to use a testosterone test kit, how the dry blood-pot collection card works, and what you might want to do with your results.
Purchasing an at-home testosterone test kit from Strut is easy.
There is no consultation required or prescription needed, so you simply add the Strut Men’s Health Panel to your cart, and check out. The whole process should take only a few minutes.
The kit also measures DHEA, Estradiol, and Cortisol to give you a more well-rounded view of what is going on with your hormone levels.
Our shipping is free, and there is no additional cost for the results or processing, so you will only pay the affordable one-time price of $179 for a snapshot of your main hormones. For many, this is more affordable than going to a doctor to order a blood draw and then paying out of pocket for the lab tests and on-site blood draw.
You can learn more about our Men’s Health Panel or the other at-home collection kits that we offer from our Men’s Health Testing product page.
The collection kit process is fast and easy. Once you place the order for your kit through Strut, your kit will be shipped to your home or designated address.
Then, you will follow all the instructions included in your kit to collect your 5-drop blood-spot sample.
You will then repackage your sample into the same box and label it with the enclosed return label.
Drop your sample kit off at a FedEx drop-off location or schedule a pick-up. Then, your sample will be run at the lab and you will receive an email with instructions on how to log in and review or download your results.
The dry blood Collection card is a patented blood collection device that enables simple finger-prick blood drop collection that only needs 5 drops of blood.
The blood collection device consists of a blood collection card that contains a special membrane that separates the red blood cells from the blood serum.
Once the blood sample is placed in the designated area and fully dried on the blood collection card, the blood collection card is placed into the sample return pouch and mailed to the testing laboratory.
Each dry blood-spot collection kit is packaged with: 1 dry blood-spot card for collection, an alcohol pad to sterilize the skin, a lancet to puncture the finger, a Band-Aid to apply to the finger after collection, a dry storage pouch for blood card transport, a set of detailed instructions, a barcode label, and a return shipping bag and label.
Some people may want to measure their hormones for their own knowledge, out of curiosity, or to help compare with previous hormone tests.
Since the results will be delivered directly to you, you can choose how you want to use your results. The results are fully downloadable, so you can share the results with your doctors.
These tests are not a substitute for medical care, and you should consult with your doctor if you are experiencing symptoms or health issues.
