What is Strut Acne Formula?

Strut Acne Formula is a physician and pharmacist formulated compounded medication. Strut Acne Formula is used for acne and may help clear up excess bacteria from skin, reduce the appearance of acne, increase healthy cell turnover, reduce irritation, hydrate facial skin, brighten complexion, strengthen elasticity, and improve skin texture when used regularly and as prescribed.

What is a compounded medication?

A compounded medication is a prescription that is mixed up specifically for you based on your doctor’s request for a specific strength and dosage form. Compounded medications are not manufactured, but made in compounding pharmacies that follow a formula ‘recipe’ customized to your condition to create an individualized medication for you.

How does Strut Acne Formula work?

Strut Acne Formula is a combination of prescription and non-prescription elements in a pharmaceutical grade base to target issues related to acne. Tretinoin is a derivative of vitamin A found to increase healthy cell turnover which helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and dark spots. Niacinamide is vitamin B3 which may help brighten the complexion, reduce appearance of wrinkles, reduce water loss through the skin, improve elasticity, and fight inflammation. Clindamycin is a topical antibiotic which works locally to help remove excess harmful bacteria from skin while also contributing an anti-inflammatory effect to reduce redness and swelling.

How should I use Strut Acne Formula?

Apply a light coating of cream to clean, dry skin on face, once daily at bedtime, or twice daily, as directed by your doctor. Wash hands before and after application, apply sunscreen daily, and avoid excess sun exposure. Follow your doctor's specific orders if you are unsure how to use the medication.

What are the common side effects of Strut Acne Formula?

The most common side effects of Strut Acne Formula are itching, redness, scaling, dryness, peeling, burning, stinging, and increased sensitivity to the sun. These side effects may be worse in the first few weeks of treatment and may lessen after 3-4 weeks. Using a gentle moisturizer and daily sunscreen may help reduce side effects.
